LTF Recruitment is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students at a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Derby (DE24). The successful candidate will join a nurturing and high-performing school community, committed to helping students achieve their full potential through a positive and proactive approach.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to establish a strong support network
- Work closely with teachers to understand students’ learning styles, strengths, and areas for development
- Develop a positive, inclusive classroom environment that ensures every student feels valued and supported
- Build positive relationships with students, helping them adhere to school rules and expectations
Person Specification:
- A relevant qualification or degree is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience working in an educational setting or similar role
- Ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapting teaching methods and providing personalised support
- A strong passion for education and commitment to enhancing students’ learning experiences
- An up-to-date DBS and two references are required
