LTF Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in the Northfield area. You’ll play a key role in preparing students for their SATs, delivering targeted interventions to boost academic achievement, and providing vital support to help them transition smoothly to the next stage of their education. The school is looking for a teaching assistant to join them on a full-time basis ASAP, for the right candidate there is potential for the position to be made permanent.
Expectations for the role:
- Support the teacher in delivering lessons and activities, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining a positive and organised classroom environment.
- Deliver targeted interventions aimed at furthering students’ academic development, tailored to their specific needs.
- Contribute to the preparation of students for SATs, helping them build confidence and achieve their best outcomes.
- Provide individual support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as well as facilitating small group sessions.
Ideally, you will:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree.
- Have at least one year’s experience supporting primary school pupils, ideally KS2.
- Have experience leading group and 1:1 interventions.
