Do you have a passion for supporting children to overcome behavioral challenges and achieve their best? We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a Key Stage 2 class in Hackney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working in schools, particularly in Key Stage 2.
- A background in managing and supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- The ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused in challenging situations.
- An understanding of behavior management strategies and how to implement them effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with behavior and learning needs, both individually and in small groups.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and progress.
- Implementing behavior support plans and working collaboratively with the SENCO and class teacher.
- Encouraging the development of key social and emotional skills, building pupils’ confidence and resilience.
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
