Teaching Assistant

Location: Birmingham (B16)

Salary: £85-£95 per day

Position: Full time, Monday – Friday

Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm

Start date: November 2023

Job description: LTF Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and caring individual to join our partner primary school located in the Birmingham B16 area. The primary school are searching for a Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive and dedicated team to support with the progress and development of all students, including SEN students. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide support to SEN students, ensuring that they are developing academically, socially and emotionally
  • Be happy to support students on a 1-1 basis and in small groups, preparing and delivering targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and SENDCO to discuss progress/concerns
  • Encourage active participation and engagement with learning and peers
  • Support the classroom teacher to create appropriate and engaging resources dependent on student needs

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • A relevant qualification/degree is desirable
  • A passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs to overcome challenges/ barriers to learning and development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with students, staff and parents
