Teaching Assistant | Haringey, N17 | Full Time | £95-£105 Per Day | Long-Term to Perm | ASAP Start
LTF Recruitment are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young boy in Year 2 at our inclusive 2-form entry partner school in Tottenham. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about helping children overcome challenges and thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide focused 1:1 support for a child in Year 2 with both behavioural and learning needs.
- Implement and adapt individual education plans (IEPs) to meet the child’s specific academic, social, and emotional goals.
- Use positive behaviour management techniques to support the child in developing self-regulation and engagement in the classroom.
- Assist the child in accessing the curriculum by delivering tailored interventions and providing learning resources.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor and report on the child’s progress.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment where the child feels safe, supported, and motivated to succeed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with behavioural challenges and learning difficulties, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing varied needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ, or equivalent) are desirable
