Secondary Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Ealing, London. This is a full-time position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children on the autism spectrum (ASD) and a strong passion for helping children with special educational needs reach their full potential. In this role, you will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and activities
- Working one-on-one or in small groups with pupils
- Providing pastoral support for pupils with ASD
- Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Assisting with the preparation of classroom materials
- Communicating with parents and carers
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A proactive, positive attitude
- A valid DBS check (within the last year or on the update service)
