Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham, B1
Salary: £95 – £110 per day
Job Type: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
LTF Recruitment specialises in long term to permanent roles in education. Our partner secondary school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Birmingham B1 area. The successful candidate will be supporting students to overcome barriers to learning in a warm and welcoming secondary school.
Role Responsibilities:
- Actively support students with special educational needs to access and engage with learning
- Deliver personalised 1-1 and small group support
- Monitor and facilitate the progress of students, nurturing their social, emotional and academic development
- Establish open lines of communication with members of staff and parents
- Facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation with learning
- Support classroom teachers with maintaining a positive learning environment
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification/degree is desirable
- Previous experience of working with children/young people on an individual or group basis
- Awareness of potential barriers to learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
