Salary: £30,000 – £47,000 (Actual)
A mainstream secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join their team. This vibrant and inclusive school is committed to providing a balanced and well-rounded education to students from Year 7 to Year 11.
We are looking for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about Design and Technology, capable of developing creativity, and eager to help students develop practical skills that are valuable for their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in Design and Technology to students between Year 7 – Year 11
- Teach both the theoretical and practical aspects of the Design and Technology curriculum
- Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring all learners are supported to achieve their best
- Support students in preparing for their GCSE examinations
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience teaching Design and Technology (or a related subject)
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Passion for education and a commitment to student success
