Are you eager to make a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience providing 1:1 support or working within a special provision in a secondary school environment? LTF Recruitment is looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a secondary school in Harrow, London.
This role involves providing 1:1 SEN support to students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), ensuring they have the tailored assistance they need to thrive in a special provision environment. Your support will be key in helping students with SEN overcome learning challenges and grow both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCo to implement personalised learning plans within the special provision
- Help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally
- Track the progress of students and adjust support strategies as needed
- Foster independence and confidence in students by providing guidance and encouragement
- Ensure students are fully engaged with their learning and have the resources they need to succeed
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Background in providing 1:1 support, particularly in a special provision setting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students and staff
- A compassionate and patient attitude, with a desire to help students succeed
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being self-motivated
Desirable Criteria:
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support
- Previous experience in a secondary school setting
Additional Information:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Paid £95 – £110 per day, term time only
- Based in Harrow, London – excellent transport links
- Immediate start with potential for a long-term placement
