SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Redbridge
Pay Rate: £90-£105 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Long-term to Permanent
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs? We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Redbridge. Working alongside teachers and SEN staff, you’ll provide essential support to students, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.
About the Role:
- Provide Support: Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who have SEN, adapting resources to meet their unique needs.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with teachers to plan and deliver targeted learning interventions.
- Classroom Environment: Help foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation.
- Strategies for Success: Utilize specific SEN strategies such as visual aids and sensory activities to support student engagement.
- Monitor Progress: Observe and track student development, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting students with SEN, ideally within a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a patient, empathetic approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
