SEN Teaching Assistant | Haringey, N17 | £95-£105 | Full Time | Long Term-Perm | Sept 2024
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work primarily with two Reception-aged children with ASD within their on-site alternative provision in the Tottenham area. You will provide dedicated support in their learning and social development, helping to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment. As a TA you will play a vital role in the educational development and well-being of young students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to two Reception pupils with ASD.
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities, both in and out of the classroom.
- Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual learning plans.
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment that promotes independence and growth.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD or similar SEN.
- Understanding of strategies to support children with ASD in an educational setting.
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
