Job Description: As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our students with SEN to achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN, adapting teaching materials and methods to meet their individual needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, sharing insights with the teaching team and parents/guardians as needed.
  • Offering emotional support and encouragement to students, helping them develop confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as SENCOs and therapists, to implement individualized education plans.

Requirements: We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities and qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the class teacher.
  • A patient and empathetic nature.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education (desirable but not essential).
