Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Haringey, N15. This role involves working 1:1 with a Year 1 child with ADHD, providing tailored support for their social, emotional, and academic development throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 child with ADHD, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being.
- Implement individual learning plans and behavioural strategies to meet the child’s specific needs.
- Support the child in developing social skills and emotional regulation through patient, consistent guidance.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress and adjust support strategies.
- Create a structured and nurturing learning environment that fosters the child’s growth and success.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with ADHD or behavioural needs is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a related field are desirable.
- Strong understanding of ADHD and effective strategies for managing attention and behaviour challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
