We are requiring a SEMH Teaching assistant to join us at a modern primary academy!

LTF Recruitment are searching for a caring and nurturing SEMH teaching assistant to join our modern well-funded primary academies in the Rubery area.

The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting the teaching and learning of a child in Year Two with SEMH needs, the child requires 1:1 support needing someone with strong behaviour management techniques and someone who can be both supportive and gentle emotionally but firm on expectations and boundaries.

The Ideal candidate:

  • Experience supporting pupils with complex SEMH & SEN
  • Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 12 months’ experience in an educational establishment.
  • Strong behaviour management techniques
  • Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 basis.
  • Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
  • A calm, patient, and caring persona.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
