Pastoral Manager | Nottingham, NG3 | £28,226 – £31,895 | September 2024 | Permanent Opportunity

Post Objective: To provide pastoral support across a multitude of areas for students within your year cohort & to act as a point of contact for all pastoral communication for parents/carers and outside agencies.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Offer guidance for social care, personal development, and learning
  • Provide general support for student health and mental well-being
  • Collaborate with external agencies on behalf of the Year team
  • Maintain awareness and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Attend and actively contribute to directed case conferences
  • Serve as the primary point of reference for staff referrals regarding behaviour issues
  • Collect and collate statements related to incidents
  • Follow up on attendance matters, including contacting parents and conducting home visits
  • Implement strategies to improve attendance, monitoring agreed attendance sanctions
  • Utilise behaviour and attendance data to devise, implement, and monitor individual or group action plans for students
  • Arrange for work to be set and collected for exclusion, reflections, and other student absences
  • Work with other leaders within pastoral management to ensure a cohesive approach to managing the whole development of students across all key stages
  • Organise the admission of students into the year group in liaison with the Head of Year
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection and all aspects of safeguarding children
