Pastoral Assistant | Nottingham, NG4 | £95-£105 | Long-term to perm | Start September
An excellent SEND provision located in the Nottingham Area is looking to find a talented, hard-working and resilient Graduate Pastoral Teaching Assistant to work with their students who have behavioural & SEMH needs both inside and out of the classroom in a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting class teachers by assisting in classroom management and by providing support with behaviour management.
- Assisting with the administration of medication, storage and reporting procedures across the school.
- Supporting the fulfilment of day pastoral care systems and practice across the school.
- Carrying out the duties of a classroom assistant as required and directed by the Pastoral Care Manager.
The right candidate will:
- Have experience of working with young people that have Social, Emotional or Mental Health difficulties and / or behaviours that challenge.
- Have strong organisation and communication skills.
- Have an understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- Have a knowledge of and / or experience of using strategies to support vulnerable young people.
