Level 3 Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B29 | £95 – £105 per day | September 2024 start
LTF Recruitment is looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our esteemed partner Primary School in the Selly Oak area. In this role, you will be vital in supporting teaching and learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff. You will offer essential assistance to students, help elevate educational standards, and contribute to fostering a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both one-on-one and in groups, to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver engaging lessons and create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes academic and social development.
- Monitor student progress, manage challenging behaviour with confidence, and provide regular feedback to the teaching team and parents.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and organised classroom, and support the teacher by leading small group sessions and assisting with lesson delivery.
Personal Specification:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree.
- Previous experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant is preferable.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are a plus.
