Learning Support Assistant | Coventry CV5 | £95 – £105 per day | Long-Term to Permanent | Immediate Start
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialised college in Coventry. You’ll be working with students aged 16-25 who have a variety of complex needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties. This role plays a key part in fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where students can grow both academically and personally.
Main Duties:
- Provide personalised support to help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Assist with daily activities, ensuring a safe and encouraging space for all students.
- Work alongside teachers and support staff to implement tailored education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in managing behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Support students in building independence and self-confidence through structured activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with individuals with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting.
- A strong passion for helping young people and a commitment to their growth and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
- A flexible, solution-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to each student’s unique needs.
- Current safeguarding training is a bonus.
Requirements:
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS certificate (child and adult barred list) registered on the online update service, or be willing to apply for one.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
