Job Title: Caretaker
Location: Kingston KT10
Hours: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Our partnering primary school are currently seeking a caretaker to join their lovely team in Kingston (KT10). This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment and supporting the learning environment of primary students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general cleaning, maintenance, and repairs to ensure the site is kept to a high standard.
- Opening and closing the premises, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the premises, including minor electrical, plumbing, and decorating tasks.
- Reporting and coordinating with external contractors for larger repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Managing waste disposal and ensuring the outside areas are tidy and well-kept.
- Responding to any urgent or emergency maintenance issues that may arise.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role. (School)
- Basic skills in DIY, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising with staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude to address any issues promptly.
