Behaviour Mentor | Grantham NG31 | £95 – £105 per day | Long-term to Permanent | Immediate Start
A school specialising in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team. This role involves working with children aged 5-16, providing essential support to help them overcome challenges related to their emotional and behavioural needs. The school places a strong emphasis on sports and physical activities, so candidates with a background in these areas will be particularly valued. As a close-knit community, they are looking for someone who can seamlessly integrate into their supportive and collaborative environment, where enthusiasm, personality, and diverse skills are key.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Act as a positive role model, leading by example
- Provide mentoring and guidance to help students navigate challenges
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, especially in an SEMH setting
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of students
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Up-to-date safeguarding training
Requirements:
- Legal right to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS certificate (child barred list) registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
- Two professional references, with at least one related to working with children, covering the last two years
