Behaviour Mentor | Birmingham, B30 | £85 – £100 per day | ASAP Start
LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our partner primary school in the Kings Norton area, specifically supporting Key Stage 2 pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about encouraging positive behaviour in children with SEN. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students who need extra support to thrive academically and socially. This long-term role comes with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a Key Stage 2 student exhibiting challenging behaviour, enforcing clear and consistent boundaries.
- Help maintain a nurturing and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving behavioural outcomes.
- Encourage active engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Offer targeted interventions to support students’ learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
What we are looking for:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree.
- Experience working in a primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2.
- Qualifications such as TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management are highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing challenging behaviours and a strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
- Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students.
- A passion for helping children overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
