LTF Recruitment is looking for a committed and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our welcoming partner primary school in the Cradley Heath area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone dedicated to promoting positive behaviour among children with SEN in the classroom. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the growth and progress of students who require extra assistance. This long-term position offers the potential to become permanent for the right individual.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with some challenging behaviour, displaying firm boundaries.
- Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement strategies that promote positive behavioural outcomes.
- Encourageactive participation and engagement in learning.
- Assist students with their overall wellbeing by providing targeted interventions to support their learning and development.
What we are looking for:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification/degree.
- Experience working in a Primary School.
- Experience of managing challenging behaviours and good knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
- Have experience of working with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Have a passion for helping children to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
