SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
Salary: £85 – £100
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a child with ASD in Havering. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism, and will be able to build a positive and supportive relationship with the child.
– Work 1:1 with a child with autism, providing academic and emotional support.
– Help the child to develop their social skills and build positive relationships with peers.
– Monitor the child’s progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and parents
– Support the child in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials to meet their needs.
– Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism.
– A warm and patient personality, with a passion for helping children reach their full potential.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
– A relevant qualification, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
– Must have SPLT experience.
