Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (ARP Experience Essential)
Location: Dagenham
Salary: £95-105 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team in our Additional Resource Provision (ARP). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students within the ARP, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Facilitate inclusion by helping ARP students integrate into mainstream classes where appropriate.
- Assist with creating a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support students in developing their communication, social, and independence skills.
- Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to reviews and meetings.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an Additional Resource Provision (ARP) setting is essential.
- Proven track record of supporting children with SEN, particularly those with ASD and speech and language difficulties.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices, with the ability to adapt approaches to meet diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping every child succeed.
